Mr. Ford in Your Bathroom!

Wouldn't it be nice to have Tom Ford in your bathroom?

 YES? HELL YEAH?

Then check out his new body scrub I stumbled upon on a pair of stylish ladies' new blog http://www.luxuryshoppers.net/ - worth checking out ;)

Byredo

Yes, I blogged about Byredo earlier.

Now, meet Mr. Uber cool Ben Gorham.

He is the founder of Stockholm based fragrance house Byredo. He exudes a certain je ne sais quoi and his scents are out of this world.

As a long time NYC Bond fanatic, all I can say is it is time to cheat on Bond as I am officially hooked on Byredo!

In fact, I finally ordered Bal d'Afrique.

Yay me!

Smell you later? Part Trois

~ Isfarkand  by Ormonde Jayne ~

I smelled this on my favorite co-worker today and I am in awe of this smell...

It smelled so good I could jump him right on the spot (not very professional, office appropriate or lady like  - I know -  but the scent was too intoxicating to resist...well, almost ;)

He said he picked it up while he was in London a few months ago.

It is made for men but in my opinion is gender-free.

Too bad this British perfumery does not sell its product in the States but they can be ordered online here and I could always head to Aedes to find something with similar notes

Smell you later?

I have been wearing men's scents my whole life.

I love flowers but God knows I hate the smell of flowers on me or anyone else for that matter. The only girly scent I can do is a powdery one (e.g. Essence by Narcisso Rodriguez) .

I am more drawn to woods, ambers and musks.

After experimenting with the likes of Issey and Prada during the dark ages, I finally discovered NYC Bond No.9 about 4 years ago ( Helloooo!!! Was I hiding under a rock this whole time???? )

Scent of Peace, Chinatown and Wall Street - all androgynous (the former two more feminine than the latter in my opinion) and deliciously intoxicating -  have been in heavy rotation ever since.

Current obsession is a gift by a fellow Bond fanatic (he's got exquisite taste in scents).

I get compliments everytime I wear it.

Some being pretty intense...

" Damn woman! You smell GOOD!!! "

So, smell you later?

Winter Skin Be Gone!!!

I have sensitive skin that gets uber dry in winter. The lotions and potions I have been relying on for the past year or so (mainly L'Occitane and Philosophy) are good but not good enough on their own to beat the dry winter skin.

So I have been testing an array of all natural products and found below two have worked the best for me.

They are both by Origins, a brand I love because not only their products deliver results, they are also made with all natural and certified organic ingredients and formulated without the harmful parabens, PABA, animal ingredients to name a few AND you don't have to break the bank, which is always a plus in my book.

Here is my daily routine to combat dry, flaky winter skin:

Step 1: Origins Skin DiverActive Charcoal Body Soap $12.50

Don't let the labels *men's line* and *soap* foul you. This is by no means a "rough and tough soap." It smells wonderful and will leave your skin soft and clean without stripping it of its natural moisture balance. The active charcoal draws out impurities and bacteria that clog pores so no more breakouts, simply soft, smooth baby skin :-)

Step 2: Origins Calm To Your Senses Lavender and Vanilla Oil for Bath and Body $22.50

It has a blend of skin-nourishing soybean, olive and jojoba oils that silkens, soothes, softens and smooths your skin. It smells heavenly and doesn't leave a greasy residue at all. I apply it all over while I am still in the shower, let it sit for a minute then quickly rinse it out.

Et voila!!! Baby soft, smooth, clean skin :-)
